Then we headed off to San Antonio for a 5 day family vacation. It was our first vacation with just the four of us ever! We soooo enjoyed it and now want to go on vacation every year to create more great memories. We were home long enough to do laundry and celebrate the Fourth of July with neighbors, and then it was time to pack up again.
The girls and I headed to St. Louis for two weeks to see family and friends, which was wonderful since we hadn't been back in two years. We were on the go everyday while we were there visiting friends and doing some of the fun attractions in St. Louis. Thanks to Mom and Dad I got lots of time to head out on my own without the girls. Yea!
We returned home again, long enough to unpack, do laundry and repack, before we were off again! During our first trip to the San Antonio, we got rained out from our plans of going to Schilitterbaun Waterpark. We had pre-purchased the tickets, that had to be used before the end of the year, so we scored yet another mini family vacation! Both girls were troopers and we hit probably 85% of the attractions at the park. Paul was thrilled because one the way home we went to watch a Cowboys training camp practice. Let me tell you how thrilled I was to go!
During all these adventures, three of us had sinus infections and ear infections, plus one bout of the stomach flu, which amounted to 6 trips to the doctor and a billion trips to the drugstore to get prescriptions filled! Our medical bills pretty much were equal to what we spent on vacation.
