Wedding Memories

Nine years ago today, Paul and I entered into our journey of married life together. What a journey it has been! We have had lots of laughs and also tears along the way. But in retrospect their isn't another person who I would want to share life's joys & challenges with.

Our wedding was literally a 5 day straight P-A-R-T-Y. Thank you to our wonderful parents for picking up the tab. Highlights from the parties:

* The heel of my wedding shoes snapping off two days before the wedding.

* My mom and sister stopped talking to my Dad 2 days before the wedding, but quickly kissed and made up.

* Two of my bridesmaids being in a fender bender the night before the wedding.

* Torrential downpours the morning of the wedding.

* The carefully crafted Unity Candle that almost burnt down the church during the ceremony.

* The arrival of the Harley Davidson Cake that I have more photos of than my actual wedding cake.

* The ding dong DJ who introduced us as Mr. and Mrs Vicki Roberts

* The Best man who pinched my ass during photos.

* The Grooms Man who didn't realize heat and weed don't mix and went back to the hotel sick before the reception even started.

* The guest who broke artwork at the reception and set off the fire alarm at the country club.

* The other guest who couldn't tell the difference between a road and cart path and drove her car around the golf course trying to find the main road.

* The drinking Olympics between the American and Canadian Cousins, who couldn't move the next day.

* My Father-in-law and good friend stealing a bottle of booze from the bar for their own drinking competition.

* The search for the bride's missing bag.

* Our drunk friends hijacking the party bus with our relatives on it and giving them a night they will never forget.

* The brunch the next day that turned into lunch and dinner. The guest were there till the wee hours of the morning.

* Finally getting on a plane for a wonderful honeymoon in Cancun.
