On my way to take Sara to school this morning, I bumped into a neighbor. As we were chatting, she looked down and asked if Sara's boots were on the wrong feet (this happens every time she puts on shoes. I swear she does it just to irritate me!). I rolled my eyes and told Sara to get them on the correct feet.
She reached down inside of each boot, pulled something out and tried to hide it in her hand from the two watching adults. My neighbor saw this and exclaimed "She's smuggling stuff to preschool in her boots!"
Sure enough, she was. There in her hands were the Strawberry Shortcake dolls that I had just told her, five minutes earlier, that she could not bring to school. What am I going to do with this child!
