You know it is going to be a rough day when your nerves are completely shot by 8 AM. It makes you wonder how you are going to make it through the remaining 14 hours left in the day.
All drama should be officially outlawed until 8 AM ( or at least until mommy can get caffeine into her system and get her eyeballs to focus!).
We had a full performance this morning, with the drama starting at at 6:15 AM. Our littlest performer headed into the guest bedroom, loaded with all her props of two stuffed animals and her sippy cup. After dumping her props on our sleeping Mimi, she started her performance. She refused to climb up into bed with Mimi and go back to sleep, instead she stood at the top of the stairs screaming her protest.
The performance continued downstairs as breakfast began. The girls were up and down from their seats, here and there. Everywhere but the table eating. Instead of breakfast it should be called meals on wheels.
Then it was back upstairs for wardrobe. This endevor in itself could be a one act play. As we started to get my oldest dress, mom noticed she needed to wash her face. She was sent to the bathroom to accomplish this task. "Emma, come on, you need to hurry up!" Five minute later she returns with the original strawberry jelly still on her face in which she was sent to wash off in the first place. So we attempt the face washing a second time. Meanwhile, down the hallway, cries of protest can be heard coming from the bedroom of the little drama queen. Daddy is suppose to be handling that matter. Finally the oldest drama queen arrives back in the bedroom with a washed face and gets dressed. We proceed downstairs to pack her backpack.
Little drama queen comes to mom, holding her t-shirt wanting help putting it on (hmmmm.... thought Daddy was handling this matter). It is then that I realize her shorts are falling off. They of course are her sister's. I remembers that there is a load in the drier (that's been there for two days) and hope to find a matching pair of shorts in there. No such luck. Back upstairs to get an outfit for little one ( I really should cancel my gym membership, cause I certainly get enough exercise running the stairs every morning).
Finally with both girls dressed, we start the morning ritual of looking for our shoes. We somehow get out of the house and to school with a few minutes to spare. I really hope the girls don't decide to give an encore performance tomorrow.
