Mimi is what my two girls call my Mom. Emma came up with the name when she was a little tike. Paul's Mom is called Grandma, which follows suit to what all the cousins call her.
So, Mimi is here visiting and like all good Mimi's came bearing gifts. One of the wonderful items that came out of her suitcase were two pairs of plastic princess dress-up shoes. A set for each girl. In theory these would be a terrific treat for the girls, since they love to play dress-up. Not necessarily so.
As most items today, they are made as cheap as possible out of hollow plastic, which produces an echo noise when they walk in them. My girls have also discovered if they walk on the tile floor with these shoes they can really produce a migraine forming noise. So for five days they have been in their glory clumping around on the tile floor. Makes me really miss the roofers that were here a few weeks ago with their nail guns! That noise could almost be considered tranquil peace compared to the noise of these shoes.
Mimi leaves on Tuesday and these wonderful shoes might just be taking a plane ride back to St. Louis.
